Why does our country herald as heroes those who cheer for strange kinds of sexuality and other forms of depraved social ideas, while aiming fierce hostility at its law-abiding, socially moral and responsible citizenry?

Why does Canada so easily dismiss from the marketplace of ideas those who hold the key to spiritual life and soul contentment, and blindly, but favourably embrace any ideas of those who will terminate life at both ends, coming and going?

Why is Canada bent on making everyone conform to the lowest form of immoral existence?

Why did the people of the 1st century hate Jesus?

Reasons people oppose/hate Jesus…

1. Morally senseless people have no internal cause to want Satan evicted from their lives (7-12).

“You are the Son of God.”

2. Even those who should know better might betray him if he interferes with their preferred personal agenda (19).

“… and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.”

3. Lots of people prefer to protect their social reputation rather than embrace Jesus’ radical redefining of the social order (20-21; 31-35).

“He is out of his mind.”

4. Religionists become very possessive of their positions and settled systems and regularly disagree on who is really doing Jesus’ work (22-30).

“He is possessed by Beelzebub!”

If we must be hated, for what should it be?

• For building a church where all who share in Christ can share in one another
