To confirm the TRINITY as doctrinal truth, two things must be demonstrated in Scripture:

• There is one God (Deut. 6:4f)
• All three persons are called God
• The Father is called God (1 Cor. 8:6)
• The Son is called God (Heb. 1:8-13)
• The Holy Spirit is called God (Acts 5:3-4)

The Father is God; the Son is God; The Holy Spirit is God. The Father is not the Son; the Son is not the Father; the Father is not the Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit is not the Father; the Son is not the Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit is not the Son.
