Why are people drifting away? (Heb. 2:1)

--The Crisis of the Christ –

Do you know my Jesus?...

1. No more middle men … (1:1-2a)

In the past – various prophets

        various times

        various ways

In these last days – the Son

2. Jesus owns it all (1:2b; 5-9; cf. Ps 2).

Are you stewarding his stuff?

3. Jesus made it all (1:2c, 10; 1 Cor. 8:6)

Are you fulfilling his plans for you?

4. Jesus is the exact representation of the God who is (1:3a, 11, 12)

Are you operating in his great power?

5. Jesus alone made things right with God for you (1:3b).

Are you choosing the purity of life you can have?

6. Jesus is at the top of everything (1:3c, 13, 14).

Are you worshiping him alone?

A flawed view of Jesus will result in a fragile hold on anything.
