In this world, we will have trouble, and sometimes that trouble causes us to have enemies. How do you handle enemies?

1st Keyword: Seek
1. Vs 43 Seek out truth
There is a difference between your truth and the truth. Be sure you know the difference.
2nd Keyword: Know
2. Vs 44 Know who your enemies are and what you are to do for them
Who are the enemies of Jesus?
- Anyone who is not for God is an enemy of God
- Anyone is not actively pursuing God is against God
3rd keyword: Understand
3. Vs 45 Understand who you represent to others
To re-frame from hating or doing evil towards your enemies who are persecuting you and begin to pray for them displays a proper understanding of radical reorientation that has taken place in your life.

4. Vs 46 Acknowledge there is a better way
Jesus is teaching that your love for people who already love you, or agree with you, or those who encourage you and do good to you already are worth nothing.

5. Vs 47 Display the better way both inside and outside of the church
Display the better way-If you are saved- act like it.
Jesus understands hurt, pain, and loneliness, and He is the one who is telling his disciples. You need to display your love to the whole world and not just those who know you.

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Perfect = Teleios
- Teleios can mean a goal or end, or carrying our instructions, or fulfilling an obligation.
- It can also mean a person coming of age-maturing
Saved people have the ability to love those who hate them and persecute them.
