Scripture: John 10:27

I. Why God Communicates with Us:

1. There is a Relationship between the Shepherd and the Sheep
2. To Give Divine Guidance and Leadership
3. To Offer Security and Assurance
4. To Provide a Discipleship Essential

Important Reality: God Wants to Communicate with You!

1. God invites us to reach out to Him and promises to respond (Jer. 33:3)
2. God is willing to share His wisdom with those who seek it (Jas. 1:5)
3. God is attentive when we communication and hears our prayers (1 John 5:14)

II. Ways That God Communicates with Us:

1. Through Scripture (2 Tim. 3:16; Heb. 4:12-13; Rom. 15:4)
2. Through Prayer (Phil. 4:6; 1 John 5:14-15; Jer. 29:12-13)
3. Through the Holy Spirit (John 14:26, 16:13; Rom. 8:26-27)
4. Through Circumstances (Rom. 8:28; 2 Cor. 4:17-18; Jas. 1:2-4)
5. Through Other Believers (Pro. 27:17; Col. 3:16)

III. Ways to Cultivate a Listening Heart:

1. Be Still and Quiet
2. Be Obedient
3. Be Patient
4. Be Discerning
