Calvary Baptist Church Oshawa is looking for a full-time Community Life and Outreach Pastor to join our leadership team. The candidate for this position is a deeply devoted and committed follower of Jesus who is passionate about seeing God’s kingdom advance. Must be team-oriented with strong vocational ministry experience. Relevant post-secondary education is required. Bible College and/or Seminary Degree (or in process) is preferred.
The successful candidate will need to be an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and fully engaged in our ministry model. This includes a demonstrated commitment to Calvary’s values, mission and principles of Christian living including full agreement with Calvary’s Statement of Faith. The candidate will need to complete Calvary's elder affirmation process unless currently serving in a vocational pastor role and will need to be eligible to meet the pastoral requirements of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada.
As an entrepreneurial and dynamic leadership catalyst, this person will be responsible for providing pastoral leadership for our Community Life and Outreach Ministries. This will include developing vision and executing ministry plans to meet Calvary’s missional goals. This person will oversee the development and execution of evangelism and integration strategies including recruiting and developing leaders, leading/teaching our “How to Belong” membership program, co-ordinating Baptisms and overseeing our “Sunday Experience” hospitality teams. Additionally, this role will be responsible for our 5 Alive Ministry (Outreach to Special Needs Community) and our Men’s Ministry.

Creative and Media Arts Associate (FULL-TIME)
Calvary Baptist Church Oshawa is looking for a Creative and Media Arts Associate to join our Ministry Team. At Calvary we take the Great Commission seriously and promise people who connect with us that our ministry model will be about Making Disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe that Christ will grow the church (Matt. 16:18) and that we are commanded to make disciples (Matt. 28:19-20).
We are looking for a candidate for this full-time position who is a deeply devoted and committed follower of Jesus and is passionate about seeing God’s kingdom advance. With a proven creative track record of using technology and media to champion vision and accomplish mission, this team player will need to be (or become) an active member of Calvary and fully engaged in our priorities of worship, community and advance of the gospel.
Key Responsibilities include video/photography production, graphic design, web/app maintenance, social media creation/management and marketing/communications.
The candidate needs to be proficient in Adobe Suite (Premier Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Indesign) and Microsoft Office Suite. A working knowledge of HTML, Canva and Propresenter is desired. Strong communication skills with creative experience in video/photography production and graphic design is required. Additional experience with website/social media management, corporate communications/marketing and publishing (physical and digital) is preferred.
